Home Health Aides in Palm Beach County and Broward County

Quality Care - The Unified Pledge Way!

The largest difference between care provided by a Home Health Aide vs. a Companion is that the Home Health Aide can actually provide physical assistance with Activities of Daily Living, Take Vitals (blood pressure,) and Administer Basic Medications. They have state certification training requirements that must be met in order to perform these duties.

What doesn’t change when having assistance from a Home Health Aide or Companion is that if and when possible, most people prefer to live out their retirement at home and keep as much independence as possible! Unified Pledge Home Health is proud to provide home health aides for seniors so they can accomplish this goal!

What to Expect from a Home Health Aide

In addition to being able to perform all duties that are offered by an elderly companion caregiver, below is a sample list of services that you can expect from our Home Health Aide Team:

  • Assistance with all Activities of Daily Living such as: Bathing, Dressing, Eating, Transferring, Toileting, and Continence.

  • Basic Medication management and administration assistance.

  • Measuring Vitals such as: Blood Pressure, Temperature, Pulse, Respiration, etc.

  • Recording of fluid intake and outputs, along with simple urine tests if needed.

  • Assistance with light exercises and range of motion that have been prescribed.

  • Changing of light and simpler dressings.

  • Assistance with mobility devices such as wheelchairs or walkers.
